Okay, I have been waiting a while now to feature one of the businesses from the HJB community. I am glad that GIFTEYEDIAS is the first to be featured. Definitely one of the most popular of our businesses to date.

The first thing that intrigues me about this business is the name…very ingenious to say the least. Anyhow, GIFT EYEDIAS is based out of Jacksonville, FL. The company is owned by a set of sisters, who have taken the leap from craft making at home to a business featuring handcrafted gift items, and small “finishing touches” for any room. So what exactly is the thought process behind GIFTEYEDIAS? Well, GIFTEYEDIAS takes the most common of items, materials, and design basics; puts them all together to create the best in one-of-a-kind, handcrafted gift items.

My most favorite items are the tye-dyed pillows made from t-shirts. This is not only a unique idea, but the colors are vibrant enough to knock your socks off; and make anybody that is boring “young at heart” again (“Gifts for the Young at Heart” is the GIFTEYEDIAS tagline). The exotic feathers that adorn the pillows? …Soft enough to tickle anybody’s fancy. And I also need to mention that the pillows are comfortable too. The pictures do this item no justice.

So what else does this new innovative company have to offer? Well if you’re ever in “the mood”, don’t hesitate to purchase, their most popular gift basket “The Pineapple Package.” (available periodically) Guaranteed to set a mood…I recommend the White Chocolate Covered Popcorn, sure to make your mouth water, and your taste buds go berserk. Everything about this company is professionally done, and if you can spot for something extra, spring for the exquisite gift packaging (by phone order only).

So What’s Next for GIFTEYEDIAS.COM? EXPANSION!!!! Their new online design center is still in the works. In the design center, customers will have the option of selecting certain materials from a list, to custom design gifts for their loved ones or a little something –something for you. These custom items will include shower curtains, purses and pillows all handcrafted. Also, GIFTEYEDIAS.COM has begun to fine-tune their inventory, getting rid of the old and not so funky, and beefing up a new inventory to hit sometimes next year.
